DVMISSION 48-Hour Film Challenge 2008 is now open
DVMISSION 48-Hour Film Challenge 2008: Applications are sought from filmmakers in the UK
and internationally for this Portsmouth based 48hr
film challenge now in its fourth year!
If the idea of writing, storyboarding, filming,
editing, adding sound and rendering a whole movie
in 48-hours sounds crazy, then you’re right.
This is an endurance test of both human and
machine. Application forms and a copy of the rules
are available online at www.dvmission.co.uk The
deadline for applications is October 10th 2008.
Entry is free to this fun event which has
previously attracted teams from beginners to
experienced professionals and is now funded by
Screen South and Film Hampshire. This means we
have been able to book the New Theatre Royal for
this year’s glitzy Premier Night and the teams
who have entered previous challenges will be
delighted to hear we have a bigger venue, bigger
trophies and as requested coffee, food and booze
available on the Premier Night.
For teams who have never entered a 48-Hour Film
Challenge before, we offer the DVMISSION briefing
2008. The DVMISSION briefing is new this year. It
is a 2-hour session for new teams to meet veteran
teams and get advice and support for the challenge
ahead.
